The Boston Bruins have struggled to win games at home this season. That was not the case Wednesday as the Boston scored three goals in the third on their way to a 5-1 win over Pittsburgh.

David Pastrnak led the Bruins charge by scoring the first two goals of the game, his 7th and 8th of the season. Those goals helped Boston carry a 2-1 lead into the locker room at the second intermission. Goalie Tuukka Rask also played a big part in that as he would finish the game having stopped 41 of the 42 shots he faced.

Boston exploded for three more goals in the third period with Jimmy Hayes starting the barrage with his 13th of the season before Landon Ferraro and Brad Marchand added to the total. All three goals were scored in a span of less than five minutes and put the game out of reach.

The Bruins are now tied with Tampa Bay in fourth place in the Eastern Conference as they go on the road for a game at Carolina tomorrow.
