The New England Patriots and linebacker Dont'a Hightower have agreed to terms on a new deal to keep the veteran with the franchise.

The veteran linebacker has recorded 17 sacks and 251 tackles during his 67 games with New England.  He was selected 25th overall in the 2012 draft by the Patriots out of Alabama.

Hightower joins Duron Harmon and Alan Branch as players that have re-signed with New England this off-season.  He also will be joined by Lawrence Guy, Brandin Cooks, Stephon Gilmore, among others who have joined the Patriots via free agency or trades this winter.
