Dustin Pedroia singled home pinch runner Deven Marrero in the 11th innng and the Boston Red Sox had a walk-off 6-5 win over the Philadelphia Phillies last night.

It was the only time the Sox had the lead in the game.

The Phils jumped out to a 4-0 lead early on Rick Porcello. The Sox got the game tied 4-4 by the 4th inning.

Philly regained the lead, 5-4. The Red Sox got an 8th inning home run from Hanley Ramirez to tie it 5-5.

Then extra innings.

The Boston bullpen did its job and then the Boston offense did its thing. A leadoff 11th single by Pablo Sandoval, a sac bunt by Sandy Leon, an intentional walk to Mookie Betts and then the Pedroia game winning hit.

The Sox improve to 35-28 and play the Phils three more times.
