SLWS Players Show Off Skills To MLB Scouts
As part of Senior League World Series week at Mansfield Stadium, MLB Scouting Bureau held a workout session Friday morning for SLWS players.
It's part of the partnership between MLB and Little League Baseball.
Five players from each got a chance to show their skills to big league scouts. The players ran a 60-yard dash along with throwing and hitting. They were scored by the scouts and those scores will be entered into the MLB database.
After the workout session, scouts talked to the senior leaguers about issues such as over use of their arms, the importance being good in the classroom as well as on the diamond, the use of social media and what it takes to make it to the majors.
