Small Fire Closes Grocery Til Weekend
The manager of a grocery store arrived at work on Thursday morning to find the building filled with smoke. A small fire overnight was reportedly doused by a fire prevention system, but the smoke still did damage to the stock.
The fire was in the motor room of Paradis Shop n’ Save, which is in the North Brewer Shopping Center on North Main Street. No one was injured but there’s clean-up that needs to be done. In addition, a lot of the store’s inventory was damaged by smoke.
WABI-TV reports the store could reopen on Sunday.
