As if losing two of three to Toronto at Fenway wasn't painful enough, the Red Sox have now put outfielder Blake Swihart and catcher Ryan Hanigan on the disabled list.

Swihart banged into the leftfield wall during Saturday's game and now the team says it is a severe ankle sprain. The foot will be immobilized for two weeks and then re-evaluated.

In other words, Swihart is out for a while.

Hanigan has been battled a neck injury and they finally put him on the DL.

OF Rusney Castillo and catcher Sandy Leon have been recalled from Pawtucket to take the roster spots and the Sox head to San Francisco, then Minnesota.
