In a game matching top teams from the east and west, the Bangor Rams scored four unanswered goals to beat Cheverus 4-1 at Sawyer Arena.The Rams entered the game number two in the Eastern Maine heal points while Cheverus was the number three team in the West. After the Stags controlled the early part of the game and took a one nothing lead, the Rams adjusted to earn their 7th win of the season.

Trailing 1-0 Bangor tied the game when Jake Fournier scored from the top of the crease with just 1:27 remaining in the first period.

Owen Trundy scored the first of his two goals on the powerplay in the final :33 seconds of the second period, and added an insurance goal on another powerplay 5:45 into the third. Alec Coleman-Pray capped the scoring with his 5th goal of the season.

Derek Fournier earned the win in goal by stopping 29 shots, four of which came in the third period when the Rams were two men down.

Cheverus drops to 6-2-1 while Bangor goes to 7-2 with their next game coming on the road Thursday at Falmouth, the number one team in the west.
