UMaine Women 5th In America East Preseason Poll

The University of Maine women's basketball team is predicted to finish 5th in America East according to the conference coaches in the preseason poll released today.The Bears had one of their best seasons in nearly 10 years finishing with a 10-6 record in the conference before losing in the quarterfinals. Coach Richard Baron's team returns four starters from last years squad led by Liz Wood who averaged 13 points and 7 rebounds.

Defending champ Albany is the preseason favorite, Stony Brook was picked second while Hartford and New Hampshire tied for third.
