Team USA won its first World Baseball Classic championship game and it really wasn't that close. A dominating 8-0 victory over Puerto Rico at Dodger Stadium sent players into party mood.

Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman pitched six shutout innings and won the MVP Award. Interesting enough, Stroman's mother is of Puerto Rican heritage and could have played for Puerto Rico.

After six no-hit innings, Stroman gave up a single and manager Jim Leyland took him out of the game after 73 pitches.

Team USA finished the WBC with a 5-1 record.
