Husson Softball

The Husson Eagles lost their first three conference games to Castleton State on NAC opening day and the Eagles have been fighting back ever since. Friday afternoon their push continues with a doubleheader against UMaine Farmington. Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket has added game one of that DH to its broadcast schedule.

The UMaine baseball team picked up a pair of wins over UMass Lowell by scores of 5-4 and 3-2, while Husson took a doubleheader from Colby-Sawyer 4-2 and 3-2.

The Husson University baseball and softball teams picked up two wins each in conference play on Wednesday.

Husson Eagles infielder Sami Schultz(Hermon HS) has been named North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week. In four games last week, Schultz hit .545 with a home run, two doubles, seven RBI and five runs scored.

Husson softball finally played a home game winning a double header played on Boucher soccer field, while UMaine baseball stepped on Mahaney Diamond to get a win.

After playing a doubleheader indoor at the Mahaney Dome over the weekend, today the Husson University softball team will be a doubleheader on a soccer field. The Boucher Field on the Husson campus.

The snow is gone from the Winkin Sports Complex at Husson University - at least in fair territory. That means the North Atlantic Conference baseball opening series between the Eagles and Castleton State is on for Saturday and Sunday.

The Husson softball team has returned from its spring trip to Florida with a 5-3 record and the Merrill sisters are a big reason why. Kayla and Lyndsey have been named NAC pitcher of the week and player of the week, respectively.

The new pressbox and bleacher project at O'Keefe Softball Field at Husson University is complete. The campus softball complex is one of the finest in New England with the addition of a three bay pressbox and seating for 400.
