The Red Sox 10 game winning streak came to a halt Friday night when Rick Porcello gave up eight earned runs in just two innings. The Blue Jays bombed the Sox 13-7.

Porcello said after the game that 'this one is totally on me'. While that is not quite true, he was the biggest culprit. The Blue Jays got seven hits, four walks, two home runs off Porcello. He left after throwing just 64 pitches. His ERA went up to 4.13.

The five runs he gave up without getting an out in the 3rd inning came after the Sox had scored five runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Credit Toronto pitching for not giving up another run the rest of the night.

Justin Smoak did most of the damage for the Jays - two home runs, three hits and four RBI.

The Sox drop to 66-30 and with the Yankees also losing the lead stays at 3.5 games in in the AL East.

Eduardo Rodriguez starts today in game three of the series. Live coverage of Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket begins at 12:25pm.
