Black Bears Junior Maeve Carroll set a new career high in points and in rebounds to lead UMaine to their first conference road win of the year, 65-47 against the Catamounts at Vermont.

Carroll scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as UMaine improved to 8-and-13 overall and 4-and-3 in the America East Conference.

Maine picked up the win without the reigning America East Rookie of the Week Anne Simon, she was out of the lineup because of an illness.

The Black Bears never trailed as Dor Sarr scored 14 points and handed out 4 assists, Kelly Fogarty made four three pointers for her 12 points, and Maddy McVicar added 10 points and 8 rebounds.

Maine's next game is Sunday at home at the Cross Insurance Center against UMBC for Educator Appreciation Day for a 1pm start time.
