Jalen Beeks had a major league debut to forget. The Detroit Tigers tagged him for five runs in the first inning and then went on to beat Beeks and the Boston Red Sox 7-2.

It snaps a Sox four game winning streak.

The 24-yeard-old Beeks went four innings, allowing six runs on seven hits. He walked three and struck out four.

The Sox offense had a few chances but never could get that big hit. Andrew Benintendi had another home run and was the only guy to have two hits.

The Sox have to settle for winning two out of three vs the Tigers. The White Sox come to Fenway to start a weekend series tonight.
