If Eduardo Rodriguez is pitching the Red Sox must be winning, or so it seems these days. After last night's 7-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers, the Sox are now 11-1 this year when E-Rod starts a game.

That pitching, plus home runs from Andrew Benintendi and Christian Vazquez, help propel the Sox to the win.

Xander Bogaerts had three hits to add to the offense.

Meanwhile, E-Rod was dealing again. 5.2 innings of one-run pitching. He gave up five hits, a walk and five strikeouts.

The Sox improve to 43-19 and meet the Tigers one more time tonight. Rookie Jalen Beeks comes up from Pawtucket to make is major league debut on the mound.
