The Boston Bruins continued to hold onto a playoff spot thanks to a 2-1 shootout victory over Toronto for their 5th straight win.Boston fired 50 shots on goal but only managed to get one past Maple Leafs goalie James Reimer when Patrice Bergeron scored his 22nd goal of the season in the second period.

James van Riemsdyk would score for Toronto late in the second period to tie the game and provide the last goal in regulation.

Tuukka Rask stopped all three shots he faced in the shootout while Bergeron fired a shot past Reimer for the game winner. The Bruins still have a three point lead over Ottawa for the final playoff spot who won Saturday night in overtime, and are tied with Detroit and Pittsburgh for 6th place with 95 points. All three of those teams have a game in hand which they will play today.

Boston will get some time off as they do not play again until Wednesday at Washington.
