The big, multiple run inning helped the Red Sox to beat the Seattle Mariners 9-5 Saturday afternoon. Make it two straight wins over the M's.

That big inning was the 3rd inning when the Sox scored eight runs.

The big blow was a Sandy Leon three-run homer. Mitch Moreland had a solo blast and Rafael Devers, Xander Bogaerts and Jackie Bradley Jr. added RBI in the inning.

A funky game for Sox starter Rick Porcello. He gave up four runs in the first inning and then settled down and pitched 6.2 innings to earn the win. Porcello never gave up another hit after giving up five in that first inning. He improves to 3-3.

The Sox are a season best two games over .500 at 21-19.
