Less than 24 hours after scoring a walk-off win over Toronto, the Red Sox blew a 6-0 lead and lost to the Blue Jays 8-7. Welcome to the Sox 2019 season.

The Boston bullpen has now blown 15 saves in 31 chances - most in the American League.

Freddy Galvis and Rowdy Telliz hit back-to-back home runs of Sox reliever Mike Shawaryn as the Jays scored four times in the 7th inning.

Matt Barnes and Ryan Brasier couldn't get through the 8th inning until three more runs scored and Toronto had an 8-6 lead. Barnes and Brasier combined to walk four batters.

The Sox did get a bloop double to get one run in the 9th but too little, too late.
