On a night when fans celebrated the all-star selection of Isaiah Thomas, he and the team went out and cruised to an easy 113-94 win over the Orlando Magic at Boston Garden.

The extends the Celtics winning streak to five games which is their longest this season and is currently tied for the longest current streak in the league.

Team win is an often used term in sports but the Celtics were the definition of that term Friday night as they put 7 players in double digit scoring and played tremendous help side defense that had the Magic on their heels all game. Kelly Olynyk and Marcus Smart each scored 16 points to lead Boston who also got contributions from Jae Crowder and Evan Turner (15 points each), Isaiah Thomas (14pts.), Jonas Jerebko (13pts.) and Jared Sullinger (11pts.).

Thomas and Smart both dished out game highs in assists with 8 while Sullinger and Jerebko pulled down 11 and 10 boards respectively.

The two teams will play again on Sunday as they make their way to Orlando for the second part of the home and home series. Tip-off Sunday is at 6pm and you can hear it live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
