Kris Bryant mashed three home runs and tallied five hits in the Chicago Cubs’ 11-8 win over Cincinnati on Monday night.

Bryant launched two home runs in his first two at bats and was able to get a third over the wall later in the game to account for six RBIs for the third baseman/outfielder for the Cubs.  He also scored four runs in the winning effort.

Jake Arrieta picked up his 12th win of the year with five innings of five run ball in one of the righty’s worst outings of the 2016 season.  He gave up four hits and five walks during the outing.

Chicago is now 49-26 for the season and are currently the top team in the majors in terms of winning percentage.  The Reds and Cubs will play game two of the series tonight with Jon Lester facing John Lamb.
