For the past two seasons Bangor Rams baseball teams have won Class A state championships. The road to three-peating began Tuesday afternoon.

The Monday snowstorm pushed back the first day of the new 8-and-2 rule for the Rams to Tuesday afternoon.

The new rule allows teams to use more than 8 pitchers and 2 catchers for week one workouts but those players invited to the early sessions can only do pitching and catching conditioning drills.

Bangor returns most of its pitching staff from last year with the exception of Andrew Hillier. He is now pitching for the University of Southern Maine. The staff will be anchored by senior lefty Trevor DeLaite.

The Rams open their season April 20th when they host Oxford Hills at Mansfield Stadium.
