The Boston Celtics had owned the Brooklyn Nets in recent year. A 10 game winning streak over them. And then last night happened. No Kyrie Irving and no Marcus Smart and no win for the C's.

The Nets got 34 points from D'Angelo Russell and beat the Celtics 109-102.

That's three straight losses for the C's - to Miami, Orlando and now the Nets.

Brooklyn dropped 44 points on Boston in the third quarter and led by 27 points.

The Celts bench mounted a late game comeback that fell short. Jayson Tatum had 34 points while Jalen Brown had 22.

It doesn't get any easier for the struggling Celtics as the Toronto Raptors come to town Wednesday night.
