The top two teams in Eastern Maine class A took part in a defensive battle with Windham walking away with a 6-0 win over Bangor.The Eagles improve to 5-0, the result of back-to-back road wins over Cheverus and now Bangor. The only score of the game came with :33 seconds to play in the first half when running back Dylan Koza (33 carries, 119 yards) dove across the goal line from one yard out. The extra point was missed but the Eagles would have all the points they would need thanks to a stellar defensive effort.

Bangor had the ball inside the Windham 5-yard line three times but came away without any points. The Rams had averaged 37 points per game coming into the contest. Dane Johnson led the Bangor offense in the loss with 135 yards on 35 carries.

The Rams are now 4-1 and will host Lewiston next Friday. The 5-0 Eagles host Portland.
