John Bapst Girls Outlast Waterville In Back-And-Forth Class B North Quarterfinal Battle

The No. 2 John Bapst Crusaders held off the No. 7 Waterville Purple Panthers in a back-and-forth Class B North quarterfinal Friday night in Bangor.

Bapst (15-4) outlasted Waterville 52-48 in the second game of the night at the Cross Insurance Center.

Abbey Legasse scored 16 points in the win. Senior Tia Zephir added 10 points and Grace Phillippon had 9 points in the win.

For Waterville (13-6), Sadie Garling had 13 points and freshman Paige St. Pierre had 10 points.

John Bapst will play the Winslow Black Raiders in the semifinals.
