Chris Sale was Chris Sale. Mookie Betts was Mookie Betts. That combination led the Red Sox to another win, a 4-2 win in Tampa Bay last night.

The victory puts the Sox at 33-15.

Sale struck out nine in 7.2 innings of work. He gave up one earned run. Sale is now 5-1 with an ERA of 2.17.

Betts smacked a three-run home run. He now leads MLB with 16 homers and his .368 is best in baseball.

Rafael Devers accounted for the other run with a solo blast. His ninth of the year.

Craig Kimbrel struggled in the 9th inning but left the bases loaded to get his 14th save.

Only 10,642 were at Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay. Many of them were Sox fans.

Game two of the series tonight with live coverage of Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket starting at 6:25pm.
