While Eduardo Rodriguez struggled all night on the mound, Seattle's Mike Leake seemed to be on cruise control as the Mariners beat the Red Sox 7-2. The weekend series is tied at 1-1 heading into today's final game.

Just one night after smashing a season-high 20 hits, the Sox managed just three singles off Leake in eight innings of work. The scored two meaningless runs in the 9th inning off the Seattle bullpen.

Meanwhile, E-Rod was back to his old self, throwing 86 pitches in four innnings. He gave up five runs on seven hits and two walks. His six game win streak is over.

The Sox played without both Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts. Betts apparently was feeling ill before the game while Bogaerts was sitting out after injuring his finger in Friday night's game.

The 51-27 Sox send Chris Sale to the mound today. Live coverage from Fenway starts at 12:20pm on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
