The second time around as a New England Patriot for tight end Martellus Bennett last just two game. The team has placed him on the injured reserve list, ending his season.

Two games. 24 snaps.

Remember the Patriots claimed him from the Packers back on November 9th. There was controversy with a shoulder injury at that time.

He played for the Pats in the Denver game and after that game he was listed with a hamstring injury.

Bennett then played some in the Oakland game.

Since that game he has been a limited practice player and was inactive for Sunday's Miami game.

Now, the move to the IR ends his season.

The Patriots have three other tight ends - Gronk, Dwayne Allen and Jacob Hollister.

NOTE: The Patriots also put special teams player Nate Ebner on IR. He injured his knee on the fake punt play Sunday vs the Dolphins.
