Christian Vazquez belted a two-run home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Boston Red Sox a 7-5 come-from-behind win over the Toronto Blue Jays Friday night.

The Sox are a season-high seven games over .500 at 42-35. They are 2.5 behind second place Tampa Bay and seven back from the Yankees.

The Sox had to come from behind all night. Chris Sale struggled through the first five innings, throwing 101 pitches. He gave up four runs, despite striking out eight.

But a three run 7th inning and another run in the 8th got the game tied and set up the extra inning heroics.

NOTE: The Sox play game two of the series with the Jays today. Live coverage on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket starts at 3:05pm.
