Light hitting Tampa Bay catcher Jesus Sucre was the difference maker in Sunday's Rays victory over the Red Sox 3-2.

After a Jackie Bradley Jr. two-run home run tied the game 2-2, Sucre belted a solo homer off Eduardo Rodriguez in the 6th inning and it held up for the rest of the day.

The best news on the day for the Red Sox was the news that the Yankees lost to Baltimore 6-4. The Sox lead stays at three games over New York with 13 games to play.

NOTES: Mookie Betts left the game in the 5th inning with what was called a thumb contusion...David Price returned to action and pitched two scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
