Sale gave up a two-run home run to Daniel Robertson in the first inning and then after a Rafael Devers error, Yandy Diaz hit a two-run triple in the fourth inning.

He finished giving up two earned runs in seven innings. Sale allowed just four hits and struck out seven.

Meanwhile, the Sox offense got a sac fly from Mitch Moreland for one run and another Michael Chavis home run for the other run.
