Sox Shut Out for 9th Time 4-0
The Red Sox offense needs a jolt, as they were shut out for the 9th time this season, losing to the Chicago White Sox at home on Monday, July 7th 4-0. The Red Sox are now 1-6 on the homestand.
The Red Sox managed only 2 hits the entire night. A.J. Pierzynski singled in the third, pulling a line drive to right, and Bradley lined a single to left in the eighth off of Javy Guerra for the club's only two hits.
Clay Buchholz (3-5) gave up two home runs in 7 innings, and struck out 7 while walking 1. The two teams meet again tonight.
