This one had trouble written all over it. The Red Sox lost 8-0 Friday night to the New York Mets.

William Cuevas was the Sox starting pitcher after Hector Velazquez fell ill and could not go. A bunch of pitchers such as Robbie Scott and Tyler Thornburg were ineffective. Only Brian Johnson (4.1 innings, one run) pitched well in this 'bullpen' game for the Sox.

Meanwhile, Boston hitters face Noah Syndergaard and that wasn't good. He held hitters in check for seven hitters on three hit ball.

All in all, an ugly game that drops the Sox to 101-47.

Game two of the series today at Fenway at 4pm. It is live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
