A new sports talk radio show is coming to Eastern and Central Maine. Beginning on Jan. 20, 2015 "The Drive" will fill the 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. slot on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.

The new show will be hosted by local broadcasting veterans Jim Churchill and Jeff Solari along with Wes Hart. The new show will focus on regional sports teams like the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics as well as University of Maine sports, Husson University sports and Maine high school sports.

"The hosts are driven by sports and passionate about our teams," said Churchill. "We are also driven to connect with Maine sports fans with a high energy, fast-paced and informative production each and every day. The slogan says it all to Maine sports fans: Your Sports. Your Teams. Your Show."

"The reach of 92.9 The Ticket is far and wide," said Solari. "We will take the show to the people in more ways than one."

The Drive is a collaborative effort between SportsNet Maine, a local sports programming production company, and Townsquare Media Bangor, the parent company of 92.9 The Ticket.

“Our focus is to deliver programming that is live, local and relevant to our audience and community," said Tom Preble of Townsquare Media. "We’re excited to be adding The Drive to our afternoon line-up and look forward to delivering on-air programming that consumers will be emotionally attached to, is vital and is a must-have each afternoon."

The Drive will fill the time slot vacated by Downtown with Rich Kimball.
