
UM Football Set For ‘Thursday Throwdown” With UNH
The University of Maine football team will open up the season on Thursday, August 31st against the New Hampshire Wildcats in a "Thursday Night Throwdown".
"We are very excited to be playing in this type of game so early on in the season. The environment should be great and it's a great kick off to the college football season," said second year Head Coach Joe Harasymiak in a release by the program.
In addition to the Wildcats, the Black Bears will face JMU, Villanova, Rhode Island, Albany, W&M, Delaware, and Stony Brook. Maine will also face Central Florida, UMass, and Bryant in out-of-conference match-ups.
