After a week in which she posted her first career triple-double, Liz Wood of the UMaine women's basketball team has been named the America East Player of the Week.Wood's triple-double came against UMass-Lowell and included 11points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists and was the first in the programs history. Wood also had 6 steals and 2 blocked shots against the River Hawks. The junior forward followed that up with a 17 point performance in a win over Stony Brook where she also grabbed 9 rebounds.

The award marks the third time this season Wood has taken home the weekly honor.

The Eagles Trevon Butler has won the North Atlantic conference Player of the Week award for the second time this season after scoring 60 points in  Husson's three wins last week. Butler scored 13 against UMaine Farmington, 20 against Colby-Sawyer in a battle of the top two teams in the conference, and 27 to end the week against New England College. Butler is in the top five of five different statistical categories in the NAC.
