Fresh off a Houston Astros World Series celebration, their bench coach, 42-year-old Alex Cora, is now the 47th Boston Red Sox manager.

At a Fenway Park press conference today, Cora and Sox president Dave Dombrowski met the press.

Cora admitted he wanted to be a manager but didn't think it would happen this quickly. He called the Sox job 'the perfect situation'.

"Boston for a lot of people is a challenge, but for me it's not," he said. "This is a city that I understand, they live baseball 24/7, but I come from a country, we live baseball 24/7. My family for breakfast, we talk baseball, for lunch, we talk baseball, and for dinner, too."
