Anderson Scores 30, Husson Beats UMPI

It doesn't happen often but the Husson Eagles went north to get a win. A 78-70 victory over the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

The two schools met for the 129th time on the hardwood but not much in recent years.

Senior guard Raheem Anderson scored 30 points to lead the Eagles. Mitch Worcester, playing nearby his home turf (Washburn HS), scored 15. Justin Martin had seven points and 11 rebounds.

Deandre Duncombe had 23 points to lead the Owls.

Husson led 34-32 at halftime and the Eagles went on a 7-2 spurt midway through the 2nd half to keep UMPI at arms length.

Husson is now 2-0. UMPI drops to 2-1.
