Bangor Vs Bronco For WS Spot

It's Bangor vs Bronco for the right to play in next month's Senior League Baseball World Series at Mansfield Stadium. Bangor needs just one win. The Bronco League featuring Hampden/Hermon must win twice.

After the Bangor senior league allstars(ages 15 and 16) scored the 15-8 win in the winner's bracket game Saturday, it moved Bangor into the championship round for the District #3 title. Bronco had to come up with another win Saturday...and did, beating Old Town 12-0.

The championship round starts today at 4:30pm with the if necessary game at 7pm.

The winner plays in the Senior League World Series starting August 9th at Mansfield Stadium. 10 teams from around the world come to Bangor for the week long international tournament August 9th through August 16th. ESPN televises the world title game.

A team from Italy and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands have already punched their ticket to the SRWS.
