Brewer Advances To Semis With Win Over Mt. Blue [BOYS]

The Brewer Witches frustrated the higher-seed Mt Blue Cougars Saturday afternoon, earning a trip to the Class A North semifinals.

The young Witches took good care of the ball and played strong defense in the 71-60 win at the Augusta Civic Center.

It was a balanced attack from the Witches with Dylan Huff scoring 21 points. Trevor Pearson had 15 points and Eric Newcomb added 14 points.

Derek Reynolds led the Cougars with 18 points.

Mt. Blue and Brewer split on the regular season, with  Mt. Blue winning the first meeting 75-61, and Brewer winning the regular season finale 54-31 to earn the No. 6 seed in the Class A North tournament.
