The Boston Bruins limp into the NHL playoffs with a regular season finale loss to the Washington Capitals 3-1. While there are still some scenarios to be played out, the Bruins could find themselves playing the Caps in the first round of the playoffs next week.

The Bruins were without the suspended Brad Marchand, the injured Tory Krug and decided to go with backup goalie Anton Khudobin while giving Tuukka Rask rest before the postseason.

The offense was no where to be found, just 17 shots on Washington's backup goalie.

Colin Miller scored the lone goal for the B's, in the second period to tie the game 1-1. Three minutes later, the Caps had two more goals and a 3-1 lead.

The Bruins finished the regular season at 44-30-7 and 95 points in the standings.

The will finish as the #3 seed in their division or the #2 wildcard team, pending what Toronto does Saturday night and Sunday.
