It isn't every day that the CBS 60 Minutes show features a basketball player from UMaine Presque Isle, but it happened last night.

Shyquinn Dix, a sophomore guard from Connecticut, was the focal point to a 60 Minutes story on a special program to help young inmates at a prison in Connecticut.

Dix was serving time for check fraud and entered the prison program called T.R.U.E. (Trustful, Responsible, Understanding, Elevating, to success.

Dix is now a student athlete at UMaine Presque Isle and led the Owls in scoring with 17 PPG and 3.5 APG while being a Dean's List student. His points average was second best in the North Atlantic Conferen
