The New England Patriots and the Jacksonville Jaguars held their first day of joint practices from Foxboro on Monday morning in advance of the first pre-season game.

Both teams took the field in full pads to run scrimmages and practices before they face off versus one another on Thursday night.  The consensus standout of the practice was Pats’ wide receiver Brandin Cooks who caught three touchdowns, including a big one handed grab for a score.

In total Cooks had seven catches, including another touchdown grabs that was in double coverage and went for 50 total yards.

According to Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal, Tom Brady went 7/10 in 7-on-7 drills and completed 17 of 27 of his passes in full 11-on-11s.  Garoppolo completed 6 of 10 passes, while Jacoby Brissett was 3 for 7 on completions.  Malcolm Butler also contributed with an interception in the practice.

Both teams will be back out on the field again tomorrow morning for another joint practice from Foxboro.
