NASCAR's most popular driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr, is retiring at the end of the race season. Earnhardt is 42-years-old.

After missing much of last season with concussion issues, Earnhardt returned to Hendricks Motorsports and is 24th in points after eight races. He has 26 wins in his career and has been voted Most Popular NASCAR driver by fans 14 times.
