
Deprey Leads Vikings To 14th Win
Top ranked Caribou put together a 19-5 fourth quarter run and beat the #3 Ellsworth Eagles 65-49 Friday night in Class B North hoops.
The game was tight for three quarters with the Vikings leading by six heading into the final quarter. Caribou would outscore Ellsworth 20-10 in the final eight minutes.
Parker Deprey led the Vikes with 23 points.
Jackson Curtis had 18 to lead the Eagles.
Caribou is now 14-1 while Ellsworth drops to 10-3.
The Ellsworth girls team scored a 39-28 over Caribou in the first game of the doubleheader.
Both teams had poor shooting nights but Eagles senior Trinity Montigny scored 18.
Ellsworth played great defense against Vikings top scorer Paige Espling. She had to work hard to get 11 points to lead Caribou.
Ellsworth improves to 8-5. Caribou is now 5-10.
