Garrett Trask of Hermon has been named the First National Bank High School Athlete of the Week after rushing for 129 yards and a touchdown in the Hawks' win against the Nokomis Warriors last Friday.

The senior quarterback also threw a 62-yard touchdown pass in Hermon's 25-7 triumph at Pottle Field.

The Hawks will look to stay undefeated when they take on MCI Friday night at the Alumni Field Athletic Complex.

Voting was close, with Trask winning with 23 percent of the vote while the other nominees each received at least 14.63 percent.

The other athletes who received a nomination for Athlete of the Week were Connor Crawford of Ellsworth, Ben Dorval of Winslow, Olivia Nash of Hermon, Kyle Carpenter of Lawrence and Olivia Wesley of Foxcroft Academy.

MDI's Elijah Joyce and Winslow's Alex Demers have also earned Athlete of the Week honors during the 2018 fall sports season.
