The Boston Celtics keep their #1 spot in the NBA Eastern Conference but it was anything but easy Friday against the Orlando Magic. The C's won 117-116 after a last second scoop shot by the Magic fell off the rim.

The victory makes Boston 49-27, a half game ahead of the Cleveland Cavs who also won Friday night.

The Celts were led by Isaiah Thomas who scored 35 points. Jae Crowder had 18.

But Orlando hung in there all night. In fact, the Magic had double-digit leads several times. Aaron Gordon led the charge with 32 points.

There are six games left of the Celtics regular season schedule.
