
Ellsworth Baseball Beats Bucksport 5-2
Evan Haskell pitched a complete game for the Ellsworth Eagles and delivered at the plate going 4-4 as the Ellsworth Eagles beat the Bucksport Golden Bucks 5-2 in Bucksport on May 6th.
Haskell allowed 7 hits and 2 runs, striking out 13 and walking 2.
At the plate Haskell hit a solo home run in the 3rd inning. He drove in 2 runs and scored 3 times from the leadoff spot.
Dawson Curtis and Jackson Barry each had a double and drove in a run.
Brayden Pooler had 3 stolen bases for the Eagles and Haskell and Gunnar Vines each had a stolen base
Trent Goss took the loss for Bucksport. He allowed 6 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 13 and waslking1.
Goss was 2-3 from the plate.
Trent Giroux was 2-3 with a double and a stolen base. Matt Curtis had a double and drove in a run. Ryan Young had a single.
Ellsworth is 5-0. They head to Bar Harbor on Monday, May 11th to play the MDI Trojans at 4:30 p.m.
Bucksport is 4-2. Then head to Harrington on Friday, May 8th to play the Narraguagus Knights at 4 p.m
