The Trenton Acadians Senior Legion Baseball Team swept Lincoln Lumber on Friday night, July 3rd, winning 2-1 and 12-0.

Game 1

Logan Crowley pitched 6.2 innings for Trenton picking up the win. He allowed 3 hits and 1 run striking out 8 and walking 3. Jackson Barry earned the save, striking out the lone batter he faced to close out the game.

Luke Horne was 2-3 for Trenton. Hollis Grindal and Crowley each had a single.

Daegan Scott had a pair of stolen bases, and Crowley had a stolen base.

Trenton committed 5 errors in the game, while Lincoln committed 3 errors.

Isaac Ritchie was the tough-luck losing pitcher for Lincoln. He pitched all 6.0 innings allowing 4 hits. The 2 runs he allowed were unearned. He struck out 9 and walked 2.

True Weatherbee, Owen Harper and Harper Jenkins each singled.

Jackson Sabattus had a stolen base.

Game 2

In Game 2 Ryan Winchester started on the mound for Trenton. He pitched 4.0 innings, picking up the win. He allowed just 2 hits and struck out 5, walking 3. Jackson Barry pitched the 5th inning, striking out and walking 1.

The Acadians banged out 10 hits in the game.

Hollis Grindal led the way with 2 doubles and drove in 4 runs. Dawson Curtis had a pair of hits, including a double and drove in 2 runs. Daegan Scott had a pair of singles. Logan Crowley, Evan Haskell, Luke Horne and Wyl Renwick each had a single.

The Acadians swiped 5 bases with Crowley stealing 2 bases. Curtis, Horne and Jackson Barry each stole a base.

Owen Harper and True Weatherbee each had a single for Lincoln.

Tyler Blackwood started on the mound for Lincoln and pitched 3.0 innings allowing 3 hits and 3 runs. He struck out 2 and walked 6. Austen Jipson retired 1 batter and allowed 1 hit and 4 runs, walking 1. True Weatherbee retired 2 batters allowing a pair of hitss and 1 run, walking 2. Brayden Boulrisse pitched the 5th inning, allowing 4 hits and 4 runs, walking 3 and striking out 2.

The Acadians are 8-2. They will play a doubleheader against the Post 8 Downeast Captains at Washington Academy on Monday, July 6th with games at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

Lincoln is now 2-7. They will play at Capital Area Shuman on Monday, July 6th at 5:30 pm.
