The New England Patriots pounded the Miami Dolphins 38-7 and put their two game losing streak in the rear view mirror. It's the first loss of the season for the Fins.

The Patriots took a 3-0 lead after one quarter and then put a 21 spot on the scoreboard in quarter two. The Dolphins never threatened a comeback.

Tom Brady looked smooth most of the day, 23-for-35 passing, 274 yards, three TDs and two picks.

He threw to seven different receivers. James White caught the most with eight for 66 yards and a touchdown. White also ran for another 44 yards and a TD.

Newly acquired WR Josh Gordon made his Patriots debut, catching two passes for 32 yards.

Rookie RB Sony Michel had his best day so far, 25 carries, 112 yards and a touchdown.

While the Pats were racking up 449 yards of total offense the defense was holding Miami to just 172.
