Two more hits and three RBI for Mitch Moreland helps the Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 7-5 Sunday afternoon at Fenway.

Moreland's big hit came in the 7th inning when he drove in the tying and go-ahead runs.

The Sox banged out 17 hits off Rays pitching. Andrew Benintendi, Mookie Betts and Christan Vazquez all had three hits. Pablo Sandoval hit his third home of the season.

Sox starter Drew Pomeranz had a funky day on the hill. He gave up three runs in the first inning, then settled down to strike out 10 batters. But, he also gave up two home runs and couldn't get there five innings.

Joe Kelly, Matt Barnes, Robbie Scott and Craig Kimbrel combined to pitch 4.2 innings of scoreless relief.

The Sox improve to 7-5 and play the Rays at 11am Monday morning in the annual Patriots Day game.
