OJ Simpson Granted Parole [VIDEO]

O.J. Simpson has been granted his release from prison after having his parole hearing in Nevada on Thursday afternoon in Nevada.

He was up parole for first time on Thursday and received a vote of 4-0 in favor of his release in the fall.  The board met and discussed the hearing for 30 minutes before deciding on Simpson's release.

Simpson has served nine years in jail of a 33 year sentence for a kidnapping and armed robbery charges related to an incident at a Las Vegas casino trying to reclaim sports memorabilia.

He was the center of wide spread media attention during his public trial for his connection to the death of his estranged wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.  Simpson was found not guilty in the criminal trial, but was ordered to pay over $33 million in a civil suit after being found guilty of a wrongful death.

Simpson will be granted parole and release from incarceration in early October.  The former NFL running back and actor will still be under probation and would be sent back to prison if a violation is found while outside of incarceration.  During the hearing he said that he plans on moving back to Florida.
